How long have you worked at WH?
I started at WH roughly at the start of 2020.
How and why did you get into Real Estate? Why do you love it?
I have always wanted a career where I am working directly face to face with clients. I’m a people person and love that I work in a job where I get to assist people during such a significant time in their lives.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Camberwell and spent most of my school years there. It was in my later years of high school that we moved to Clifton Hill. We love the family feel and suburban environment that Camberwell brings, but once we moved to the north side, there was no going back.
What does your role entail?
My role at WH mainly entails running errands, learning and prospecting. Prospecting and building a client base is such a fundamental part of being a successful real estate agent, so I am very lucky to be able to start building my client base while learning how the real estate industry works.
What does a typical week look like?
A typical week would include answering emails and calling any new or old prospective clients in the morning and walking around the local area doing letter drops in the afternoon, while conducting inspections when needed. I am also fortunate enough to be able to attend appraisals, buyer meetings and appointments with the Sales Director, giving me a chance to see first hand how everything works.
What clients do you typically work with?
Buying and selling mainly! I usually deal with people looking to buy a house, or wanting to sell. I help kick off the process and either find out what they are looking for or organise a meeting if they are thinking of selling.
Where do you live and why do you love it there?
I live in Fitzroy North. I absolutely love everything about this area. I have never lived on a street with such a sense of community and just genuinely friendly people. It’s such an accepting and social suburb to live in. Every weekend all the local parks are filled with different types of people, all just enjoying life.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love to spend time with my friends and my golden retriever Alfie! We love spending our weekends sitting in the sunshine at the park or an outdoor bar enjoying the views and a beer or cocktail. Alfie loves to come with us wherever we go as he is always the centre of attention.
What music, movies, TV shows, books or recipes are you currently really enjoying?
I have just finished watching The Undoing and am waiting for the last season of Money Heist to come out! I love all different types of music but am especially enjoying diving back into my old favourites like Ball Park Music, the Lumineers, the 1975, Phoenix and Panic! At The Disco.
What has been a memorable experience working at WH?
Last week I attended my first auction which was such a great experience. Seeing the faces of the vendors and buyers once the auction was over is something very special to witness. Both parties were so excited and overjoyed with the outcome, which was such a lovely thing to be a part of.
